RAFF Group awards Oakey State School $2000 CRT Primary Schools Program
This month, RAFF Group was given the opportunity to present a cheque to support Oakey State School’s projects and programs.
Through the CRT Primary Schools Program, our Business Manager Annabelle Raff and Merchandise Manager Brett French handed over a cheque for $2000 to Oakey State School Principal Scott Pacey and the Oakey State School’s P&F Association.
The CRT Primary Schools Program supports projects that have a positive impact on rural and regional primary schools across Australia. Oakey State School P&C Association was one of 25 recipients of the program’s second year, which saw more than 170 applicants.
Belle said she was proud to support regional schools through the CRT Primary Schools Program.
“Having grown up in a rural town, I know how important schools are for the development of children in regional Australia,” she said.
“This program is about recognising the important role local P&F Associations have in supporting local schools.”
Mr Pacey said Oakey State School was fortunate to be chosen as a recipient of the 2024 CRT Primary Schools Program.
“This funding will help our school by supporting our after-school care programs, sporting, and creative arts programs; this will provide more resources to help our students’ learning,” he said.
CRT Head of Independents Rebecca Gay said the number of applications received during this year’s round had been overwhelming.
“Our selection panel had their work cut out for them narrowing down the list of more than 170 applicants to the final 25 finalists,” she said.
“We’re seeing many P&C associations eager to connect with agriculture through cattle clubs and paddock-to-plate initiatives. These projects provide students with a hands-on connection to food and agriculture while providing a chance to immerse themselves in the outdoors.”
